FrameBalance (“we”, “us”, or “our”) runs a free online CPU–GPU bottleneck calculator and related guides at framebalance.com. This page explains what information we handle, what stays on your device, and how third-party services may work when you visit the site.
We built FrameBalance to be lightweight: you can check a hardware pairing without creating an account. That shapes how we approach privacy.
The short version
- The calculator runs in your browser. Choosing a CPU, GPU, or resolution does not send those selections to our servers for scoring.
- We do not ask you to sign up, and we do not maintain user accounts for the tool.
- Like most websites, hosting, analytics, and ads (if enabled) may process technical data such as IP address, browser type, and pages viewed.
- You can limit cookies and tracking in your browser or through the tools linked below.
Information related to the calculator
When you use the bottleneck calculator, part names and settings are processed locally in your browser session. We do not operate a backend that receives your build list to compute the result.
If you later clear the page or close the tab, those in-browser selections are gone unless your browser restores form state on its own. We do not store a personal “build history” for you on our side.
Information collected automatically
When you load FrameBalance, our hosting provider and any measurement or advertising partners we use may receive standard request data. That typically includes:
- IP address and approximate location derived from it
- Browser, device, and operating system details
- Pages or URLs you visit on this site, and referrer URL
- Date, time, and basic performance or error signals
We use Cloudflare to host and deliver the site. Cloudflare may process traffic for security, performance, and reliability (for example DDoS protection and CDN delivery). Their handling of data is described in Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy.
Cookies, analytics, and advertising
FrameBalance itself does not need an account cookie to run the calculator. We may still use cookies or similar technologies for:
- Analytics — we use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand which pages are useful, how people find the site, and basic usage patterns. Google’s processing of this data is described in the Google Privacy Policy. We enable IP anonymization where supported by the tag configuration.
- Advertising — for example Google AdSense or similar networks, which may show ads and use cookies to measure or personalize ads across sites.
- Security / CDN — cookies or headers set by Cloudflare or related services as part of normal site delivery.
If Google advertising is active on the site, Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can manage ad personalization in Google Ads Settings and learn more at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. You can also visit aboutads.info/choices for broader industry opt-out tools where available.
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Blocking some cookies may affect analytics accuracy or how ads are shown, but the core calculator should still work.
Affiliate and outbound links
From time to time we may link to product pages, retailers, or partner programs (for example hardware merchants). If you follow those links, the other site’s privacy policy applies. Those sites may set their own cookies or collect information when you shop or browse there.
How we use information
We use the information described above to:
- Operate, secure, and improve FrameBalance
- Understand traffic and content performance
- Support advertising or affiliate partnerships where enabled
- Respond if you email us with a question or request
- Comply with legal obligations when required
We do not sell your personal information in the sense of a bulk customer database—because we are not collecting signup profiles for the calculator. Advertising and analytics partners may still process technical data under their own terms as described above.
Data retention
Calculator selections are not retained by us as a personal build log. Server, CDN, analytics, and advertising logs are kept according to each provider’s retention settings and our operational needs (often days to months for traffic and security logs). If you contact us by email, we keep that correspondence as long as needed to help you and maintain basic records.
Children’s privacy
FrameBalance is a general-audience technical tool. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information through contact channels, please email us and we will delete it where applicable.
International visitors
The site is available worldwide and is delivered through Cloudflare’s network. That means your request may be processed in data centers outside your country. If you contact us, your message may also be stored or accessed from locations where we or our providers operate.
Your choices
Depending on where you live, you may be able to:
- Block or clear cookies in your browser settings
- Use Google’s ad settings or industry opt-out pages linked above
- Ask us about access, correction, or deletion of personal information you sent us directly (for example by email)
Because the calculator does not create an account profile, many “account data” requests simply do not apply. We will still help with reasonable requests about correspondence or other personal data we actually hold.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the site grows—for example when we add analytics, ads, or new features. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of FrameBalance after an update means you accept the revised policy.
